April 2023 Class and Workshop Schedule

You can register online https://the-golden-button.square.site or email us at info@goldenbuttonshop.com to save a spot in a class and pay at the studio. We are offering a cash discount for weekly classes and special events.

Also, please do not enter the studio if you are sick. We will still offer one makeup per month if you are sick or have been exposed to illness. Please do not come to the studio if you are ill or have been exposed to covid or other highly contagious illnesses. 

We may have some classes outside if we have nice weather!!!

Tuesday Sewing

Meets Tuesdays in April 18, 25 and May 2nd from 4:30-5:30 PM.

All levels are welcome.  (Great for beginners and new sewers or a review) Bring your sewing machine and manual… we will supply the rest.  Make what you want while learning how to sew plus lots of spring patterns too!  $Cost is $65 plus $30 supply fee

May 9, 16, 23rd and 30th Cost is $85 plus $40 supply fee

Children and teens will create awesome machine sewn projects!!! (Great for beginners) Make tote bags, clothes, gift items, stuffed animals, gifts, valentines and so much more! Learn to use your machine or continue to learn new skills! Work at your own pace. Bring your machine, sewing kits, and manual! Lots of awesome projects!!! Cost is $85 plus $40 supply fee

After School Art                                                                                                                                                          

Meets Thursdays April 6, 20 and 27th from 4:30- 5:30 PM  (No class on the 13th)                                                                                            Make a super fun art projects… grab clay, make a sculpture or take a canvases and paint!  Let’s make some fun artwork.  Great for kindergarten through elementary age children. Cost is $65 plus 27 supply fee

Meets Fridays in April 7, 21, and 28th  from 11:00- 11:45 PM    (No class on the 14th)                                                                                              Little kids will have a blast creating art based on things they love! Create a spring bunny, paint fancy flowers, and other fun projects! All age little kids are welcome. Cost is $55

Friday Kids Art: CLAY                                                                                                                                                     

Meets April 7, 21, and 28th from 4:30- 5:30 PM                                                                                                                      

Love clay? Make some super fun sculptures…. Work on something awesome with polymer clay, try your hand at making your own air dry clay and more! Try something new and fun!  Great for kindergarten and elementary age kids. Cost is $65 plus $27 supply fee

NEW CLASS…                                                                                                                              

Mommy & Me Sewing (Dad’s, aunts, uncles, friends.. everyone is welcome to join!)

Meets April 22 and 29th from 11:30- 1:00 PM    Join us for this two part sewing class! Pick your spring project….Learn how to thread and use your machine, measure, cut and sew your projects. This is great for a reminder for adults or people knew to sewing. (Great for kids ages 5 and up who aren’t ready to use their machine alone or just want to learn to sew. Also great for adults who want to learn along side your favorite little one! Cost is $150 (covers both child and adult and all supplies) Note… Please bring your machine or let us know if you need to borrow one. Adults and Kids will work together and take turns but we will have a few extra machines out too.

No School? Kids Arts & Crafts: How to be an Easter Bunny                                                                                                                                              Friday, April 7th 3:00- 4:00 PM                                                                                                                                                      

Arts & crafts for preschool, kindergarten and elementary age kids. Learn how to be an easter bunny. Decorate a bunny, paint some eggs and make an awesome bunny necklace too! Paint, sculpt, glue, bead and more. All ages are welcome cost is $40 per child. 

Paint your Favorite Chicken                                                                                                                                   

Saturday, April 22nd  from 4:30-6:30 PM Join us to paint your favorite chicken, duck or goose!!! So much fun! All ages are welcome. Paint any color chicken you like. Miss Kate will guide you through your painting. Be sure to have a photo of your favorite chicken on hand (Can be on your phone to work from or print it) !!! Cost is $40 per person

Mother’s Day Paint Night: Moths and Butterflies                                                                

Saturday, May 13th from 4:00 to 5:30 PM                                                                                                                                       

Join Miss Kate and her daughter for this super fun  paint event! To celebrate Mother’s Day… each child and their special adult will receive one extra large canvas to paint together.  Kids and Adults will have so much fun! This painting can be simplified for even your youngest helper. (Little kids are really great at spots, ears and painting necks, background and more. This is a really fun date! Cost is $65 for one adult with one child!

Big Cat Paint Night (Date to be announced) 

Paint your favorite big cat!!!! Miss Kate will help you thought your painting. Cheetahs, Pallas’ Cats, Snow Leopards, lynx, Jaguars, and more!!!! So much fun! All ages are welcome. Paint any cat you want. Miss Kate will guide you through your painting. (You are welcome and encouraged to bring a photo of your favorite cat on your phone to work from or print it) !!! Cost is $40 per person

Spring Break Sewing and Art Workshops

Children are welcome to bring a drink and snack. 

Sewing workshops are great for age 6 and up. Beginners will hand sew during these workshops. (5 year olds are welcome to sew with an adult to help them) 

Arts and Crafts workshops are great for kindergarten and elementary age kids. Unless otherwise specified!

Sewing: Dolls and doll clothes

Join us to sew doll clothes. Bring a doll or a few stuffed animals or tell us what kind of doll you want to make clothes for. Ideal for American Girl dolls, baby dolls and stuffed animals. 

(This is not a beginner sewing class. Please have some experience with sewing before coming)

Polymer Clay Day
