Many of you already know…. Miss Kate, the owner and operator of The Golden Button, is having a baby in October! So for the time being….. We are slowing down…. Several classes in October and November will be taken over by some awesome Artists and Teachers.

in October! We will be giving away one of Miss Kate’s super fun animal paintings (you can enter to win on Facebook or when you are in the studio!) Giveaway begins on October 1st.
The Golden Button will also be set up and selling local items at the WOW Fall Festival on October 2nd! (You can enter to win an Animal Painting at the WOW FALL FEST!)

The Golden Button would like to announce… Mini Summer Camps for 2016!!! The Golden Button is offering Mini Summer Camps! These mini “camps” are designed for your child to explore fun and new things. Every week this summer we are offering a variety of different sessions that will run from Tuesday through Friday. Plan ahead and hold a spot now! Space is limited! We offer a discount for siblings and if you sign up for two sessions in one week.
Week One: June 28th– July 1st
–Diorama Mini Camp: From 3:00-4:00 PM Create amazing tiny worlds in Diorama Camp. Each day we will use different materials including mini boxes to house our worlds, tiny animals, found objects and more. Create the world of your dreams! So much fun! Cost is $65 plus $15 supply fee
-Summer Night Camp: From 5:00-6:00 PM Summer Night Camp (Ages 4 and up) Listen to the summer night sounds, Create a giant bug that really glows, make trees in the night, and a nocturnal animal! Lots of painting and glow in the dark fun! And maybe some outer space art too! Cost is $65 plus $15 supply fee
Week Two: July 5- July 8th
–Beginners Sewing: From 1:30-3:00 PM Learn the basics and how to use your machine! Create fun beginner projects and get comfortable with sewing! Please bring your machine and manual! (Ages 7 and up please) Cost is $95 plus $35 supply fee (1.5 hour class)
-Advanced Sewers Studio: From 3:30-5:00 PM This Mini Camp is for kids who know how to use their machines. Advanced sewers will create more advanced patterns, Make dresses, quilting patterns, awesome stuffed animal patterns and more! Cost is $95 plus $35 supply fee (1.5 hour class)
Week Three: July12 – July 15
–American Doll Sewing Camp: From 3:00-5:00 PM Make Clothes and other projects for your dolls! Learn all different techniques and incorporate some hand sewing. Make fun summer projects you can really use! (Please bring your own machine. Some experience with sewing is very helpful! Get a special discount if you take beginners sewing first!) Cost is $130 plus $45 supply fee (2 hours a day)
Week Four: July 19- July 22
–Hand Sewing and Design Camp: From 1-2:30 PM Make simple projects and learn all different techniques of hand sewing. Hand sew a watermelon or ice pop pouch, Make awesome projects with appliques, fun details and more! Fun summer inspired projects you can really use! (Ages 6 and up please) Cost is $95 plus $25 supply fee (1.5 hour class)
-Fantasy Art Camp: From 5:30-6:30 PM This mini camp is for kids who love fantasy. Learn how to draw fantastic creatures, dragons, fairies, gnomes and much more. Then make a beautiful whimsical painting and create toadstools, and much much more! This is going to be fun! Cost is $65 plus $20 supply fee.
Week Five: July 26- July 29th
–Clothing Design: From 4:00- 5:00 PM This class if for designers! Create a design notebook with fabric swatches and samples. Then we will create 3-d Sculptures of your fashions! (This is not a sewing class) Cost is $65 plus $15 supply fee
-Mixed Media Art: From 5:00- 6:00 PM This mini camp is excellent for really creative kids! Kids will be working on starting ideas from drawings and taking them to 3-D form. Students will create wild and whimsical sculptures, using a variety of materials. We will be using clay, cardboard, paint, found treasures and other materials to create one of a kind artwork! Work Large or tiny! Cost is $65 plus $17 supply fee
Week Six: August 2- August 5th
– Fairy and Gnome Mini Camp: From 1:00- 2:00 PM Create tiny and amazing homes for gnomes or fairies, create a fairy or gnome sculpture, make toad stools to keep in your garden and so much more! Cost is $65 plus $17 supply fee
-Upcycle Sewers! From 5:00 – 6:00 PM This class is perfect for beginner or advanced beginner sewers! Upcycle a dress or shirt. Create a great bag for summer with awesome appliques. SO much fun and use our huge collection of vintage trims and fabrics to create some one of a kind up-cycled pieces! (Please bring a plain t-shirt that still fits –one with stains is fine. Please also bring a cotton dress or skirt to re do!) Cost is $65 plus $17 supply fee
Week Seven: August 9- August 12th
-Sew What You Want: From 2:00-3:30 PM Hand sew, machine sew, read patterns, bring inspiration from home, work on something you need help with. Make a gift for someone….Its up to you! Create something fantastic that you really want to make! Cost is $95 plus $35 supply fee (1.5 hours a day)
-Dirty Hands and Clay Sculpture: From 4:00- 5:00 PM During this workshop children will experiment with a variety of clay recipes. We will be creating magical containers, pieces to wear or display and sculptures of your animal. All while getting very dirty hands! We will work outside when we can. Cost is $65 plus $25 supply fee
Week Eight: August 16- August 19th
-3-d Crazy Sculpture: From 2:00-3:00 PM This mini camp is excellent for really creative kids! Kids will be working on starting ideas from drawings and taking them to 3-D form. Students will create wild and whimsical sculptures, using a variety of materials. We will be using clay, cardboard , paint, found treasures and other materials to create one of a kind artwork! Work Large or tiny! Cost is $65 plus $25 supply fee
-Doll Making and More: From 3:30- 5:00 PM Create beautiful dolls and stuffed animals with a combination of hand and machine sewing. Use basic doll patterns to create your own one of a kind doll, make a mermaid, a fuzzy yeti, a sweet French inspired doll or a dog or cat! When you are finished create clothes for your doll and decorate! (You do not need a sewing machine… you may hand sew your dolls….. but you are more than welcome to bring your machine if you want to use it!) Cost is $95 plus $35 supply fee
Week Nine: August 23- August 26th
-Storybook Art: From 3:00-4:00 PM Explore fantastic illustrated children’s books then create your own artwork. Each class we will read a book together and create whimsical and fun works of art inspired by the story. Each week use new materials and techniques to create Story Book inspired art. You can even create small storybooks of our own! Great for younger kids! Cost is $65 plus $17 supply fee
-Paper Mache and Messy Sculpture: From 4:00- 5:00 PM Plan, design and create beautiful, messy and fun art out of different types of paper mache. Make a “Skeleton” for your project then make a super fun project or 4. Let them dry then paint and decorate them! You can make anything out of paper mache! Cost is $65 plus $25 supply fee

This year plan ahead and get your dad or grandpa a truly personalized gift! Does he have a car he loves, a historical building that holds a lot of meaning, a favorite pet? Needle Felting: Unicorns: Wednesday, May 11th from 7-9:30 PM at The Golden Button.
Join us at the Golden Button on Wednesday, April 27th from 7-9:30 PM to create a 3-D Unicorn sculpture. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn craft in which a barbed needle is used to sculpt wool into anything imaginable. In this class students will create a 3 dimensional felted Unicorn! You will have enough materials to make another one!!! Part of our Menagerie Series!!!
Cost: $40 (Save $5 by bringing your own needles and foam)
Kids Paint Night: Dragon Painting
Friday, May 13th from 6:30-8:30 PM.
Paint a super awesome Dragon Painting. Make a pink one, a fire breathing one, a dragon that flies, even paint toothless! Miss Kate will take you step by step through how to paint a magical dragon! Then add glitter, fire and more!!!! So much fun! (Ages 5 and up please) Cost is $50 for 2 kids, or $30 for one.
Adult Paint Night: A Teapot and Cups and Saucers
Tea night! Miss Kate will guide you through a lovely painting of a tea pot with a cup and saucer! Drink tea relax and have a night out with your friends, Treat will be served. BYOB Adults only J
Cost is $40 each or $70 for you and a friend!

Father/ Child Paint Night: Guided Painting: Star Wars Painting Night!!!
Friday, June 17th from 6:30-8:30 PM
Fathers and kids will each create their own awesome Star Wars Painting!!! Miss kate will guide you through it! First paint outer space then use tracers (If you want to create your favorite characters!!! Root beer and chips will be served! This is a great night out for your children and their fathers!!!! A really awesome event for Father’s Day! Ages 5 and up
