On Vacation
The Golden Button will be on Vacation from now till Wednesday, January 8th.

The Golden Button would like to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The Golden Button is open 11-5pm Saturday and 12-5pm Sunday then it will be closed for one business week. We will re-open on January 8th with lots of new classes and new items in the shop!

Come Make a Glitter House.
Come make a beautiful holiday house On Christmas Eve! Drop in Between 12 and 3PM. Cost is $10 per house.
They are traditionally called “glitter houses” and were very popular in the 30’s. Families built little communities around their nativity, Christmas tree, or train set at the holidays. Quite a few included inexpensive, glitter-sprinkled buildings made of pasteboard.
We have lots of plain little houses today which you can paint, then decorate with glitter, sequins, pom poms and other little treasures. They come out beautiful and each one has a little hole in the back for you to put a christmas tree light in.
Stop in tomorrow from 12-3 to make one too!
We will be open On Christmas Eve from 12-4 PM. Stop in for some last minute holiday Shopping. We still have lots of beautiful locally made items for you.
We will be closed on Christmas Day and we will be open for the rest of the week till 5 PM.
Cider Mill Design Terrariums will be for sale tomorrow. All proceeds will go to the Sandy Hook Fund.

This Week.
Tomorrow we will offer Open Ornament Painting from 12-5 PM…. Friday.. I have to open late and I am not sure when I will be in… So I will offer Open Ornament Painting…. Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12-5 and Monday (Christmas Eve) from from 12-4 for anyone who missed painting ornaments this season.
Cost is $10 for 3. Wear a smock. all ages are welcome.

I have found it very difficult to keep my mind on The Golden Button this week.
I would like to send lots of love to all the families effected by the terrible events last Friday in Newtown.
I also want to send lots of love to my beautiful friend Rachel and to all the other victims who lost their lives last week.

We will have Grand Prix Cigar Shop here so you can buy special gifts for your men! and Cider Mill Design will be dropping off their beautiful Terrariums!
Then Next week we will have Guy’s Night! so send your men to The Golden Button next Week…. Wednesday the 19th from 5-8 PM!!! We will have treats and wrapping!!!! and much much more!

Yesterday was super busy at The Golden Button…
First we had ornament making….
Then we had a class….Here are some photos from a Holiday Gift Making Class…. but I can’t tell you what we are making…
Then later on… some very great Girl Scouts came to make gifts for children….
and had just enough time to make a hair clip for themselves!!!
