Easter eggs

Join us at The Golden Button to learn the art of creating Ukrainian Easter Eggs. Marcus Klim will teach you the techniques of Pysanky and well as the ancient ideas and symbolism behind this beautiful tradition.

Not only will you receive all the skill you need to create Pysanky at home, but you will also take home dye, wax, and your own tools to create Pysanky Eggs at home!!!! Cost of the class is $40 (including supplies!)

We will provide the eggs for you and you will receive the tools and skills you need to create your own beautiful Pysanky at home! This class is offered to teens and adults.

Wednesdays:

Little Kids Art Class (ages 3-5)

Class begins at 1:30 and goes till 2:15 PM

Little kids will create art based on patterns. We will talk about patterns and use collage, fabric, printmaking and natural and found objects to create artwork based on pattern.

Class will meet from 1:30 to 2:15 PM on

February 27^th , March 6^th, 13^th and 20^th

Cost is $50 plus $13 supply fee.

Thursdays:

Paper Flower Workshop
Kids: 4:30 to 5:15 PMAdults: 5:30 to 6:15 PmLearn how to make flowers out of paper! Each class we will learn the basics of creating flowers out of different materials! These beautiful flowers can be made for parties, as gifts and as so much more! There are two sessions one for kids and one for adults.

Class meets on Thursdays in March (7,14, 21, and 28^th)

Cost is $60 plus a $15 supply fee (please specify adult or child class when you sign up)

Fridays:

Beginners Embroidery Sampler (ages 8 and up)

5:00 to 5:45 PM

Learn basic stitches and how to make a stitch sampler. We will also begin to make items with embroidered details that you can really use! This historical art is getting more and more popular! Design your own sampler and Take home your own embroidery kit!

March 15, 22, and 29^th.

Cost is $45 plus $15 supply fee

Saturdays:

Wooden Easter Egg Painting

12:00 to 5:00 PM

Stop in and paint beautiful wooden Easter eggs that will last forever!

Call ahead to hold eggs or just stop in! All ages are welcome to come!!! Wear an old t-shirt or smock!

Cost is $6 per egg. (leave them overnight to be varnished!)
