Here are some of the new classes at The Golden Button……

Kids/ Beginners Machine Sewing

Wednesday, January 16, 23, and 30th and February 6th 5:00- 5:45 PM

Maura Bergman teaches you how to use your new Sewing Machine! Learn basic functions, how to find your way around your Sewing Machine and how to make a basic pattern. This class is excellent for all all of you with new machines!

Cost is $65 plus $20 supply fee

Sew Your Own Tote bag or Purse-

Wednesday, January 16, 23, and 30th and February 6th 6:00-7:00 PM

Maura Bergman will teach you how to make a beautiful quality tote bag/ purse. This class is open to adult, advances beginners. Bring your sewing machine and learn all the steps to create your own bag from scratch.

Cost is $75 plus $20 supply fee

Winter Crafts for Little Kids

Ages 3-5

Explore winter through Art. Make snow pictures, Create “Snow Sculptures,” Make a home for winter creatures and then create your own creatures to live in it.

Thursdays, January 17, 24, and 31 and February 7th

Time: 1:00 to 1:45 PM

Cost: $50 plus $11 supply fee

Winter Arts and Crafts

Ages 6 and up

Make winter crafts to take home. We will create beautiful creations by weaving as well as felting, painting and sculpting. Try some new fun mediums!

Fridays in January 18, 25, Feb 1, 8, 15 and 22nd

Time: 5:00 to 6:00 PM

Instructor: Kate Gorham

Cost: $80 plus $25 supply fee

Valentine Creations

Ages 5 and up

Create lots and lots of great Valentines treasures with all sorts of different materials.

Thursdays January 31, February 7, and 14th

Time: 4:50 to 5:30 PM

Cost: $40 plus $15 supply fee

Needle Felting

Owls/ Penguins: Learn to make your choice of a owl or a penguin sculpture out of wool with Rachel Gerowe of Red Barn Originals. Use special barbed needles and wool.

Sunday, January 20th 3-5 PM Cost: $35 (save $5 if you bring your own needles and foam)

Squirrels and Chipmunks: Learn to make your choice of a squirrel or chipmunks sculpture out of wool with Rachel Gerowe of Red Barn Originals. Use special barbed needles and wool.

Sunday, February 24th from 2-4 PM Cost: $35 (save $5 if you bring your own needles and foam)

Holiday Gift Making!

In December there were two sessions of Holiday Gift Making classes offered… Below are photos from all the different projects we made…. Some of our projects were beautiful wreathes, Glitter houses, chalk boards and pet toys! It was lots of fun!

Yesterday was super busy at The Golden Button…

First we had ornament making….

Then we had a class….Here are some photos from a Holiday Gift Making Class…. but I can’t tell you what we are making…

Then later on… some very great Girl Scouts came to make gifts for children….

and had just enough time to make a hair clip for themselves!!!

Tomorrow is Needle Felting Santas!!

Next week we have Ornament Painting, Ladies Night, and local shopping!!!!

We have some great classes… Beginning on Friday..

Kids Holiday Gift Making (Full)

Fridays from 5:00- 6:00 PM (ages 6 and up)

A four-session gift making class where each week children will learn how to create different gifts for everyone! Week one: we will focus on Mothers, Aunts, Grandmas and teachers, Week two: we focus on Dads, Uncles, Grandpas, and other men, Week three: we will make gifts for friends, or siblings and week 4: we will make pet gifts!

November 30, December 7, 14, 21

(Cost is $ 56 plus $15 supply fee)

On Saturday December 1st we have ORNAMENT PAINTING!!!!

Open Ornament Making

Just Like Last Year!!! Drop in During Open Ornament Making hours and get 3 ornaments for $10! All ages welcome bring your smock! Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in December! Drop in between 12:00 to 5:00!
