Sewing Machine Class for You and Your Child!

Tuesday Nights from Time: 6:00-7:00 PM

July 14, 21, and 28th

Join us at The Golden Button to learn your way around your sewing machine! While many children are now interested in learning how to use a sewing machines….more often than not, their parents do not know anything about sewing! This class is meant for parents and their children! Bring your child, one machine and one manual and learn the basics! Learn how to thread your machine, fill your bobbin, change broken needles, which needles to use for which fabric and work together with your child to create something fun for you and your child! Basic beginner projects and materials will be supplied!

Cost is $75 plus $20 (covers one adult and one child and all their supplies!)

Drawing and Painting

Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM

July 8, 15, 22, 29^th

In this class we will focus on drawing and painting. Children will create art from still lives, models, photos and more. We will focus on our technique as well as how to be more positive on the outcome of finished artwork. Supplies include paint, charcoal, colored pencils, and ink. On nice days we may go outside for a little landscape drawing. Children will work at their own pace!

Each Child will receive a sketchbook to take home and carry with them!!! (Kids ages 7 to 12)

Cost is $65 plus a $20 supply fee.

Drawing and Painting More

Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 PM

August 5, 12, 19, and 26th

There will be different projects than in July’s class but our focus will remain the same!

Kids Advanced Beginner Sewing Machine Classes:

Fridays from 1:00 -3:00 PM (2 hours!)

July 17, 24, and 31st

This class is for kids who have some experience with sewing machines. Join us at The Golden Button for this extended Sewing program. Kids will learn how to read sewing patterns and how to create finished clothing items. Focus on how and what materials to pick for your projects! How to read patterns and assemble garments.

Pattern choices will be given to you before the class begins. Each child will pick their own pattern.

Space in this class is extremely limited! You must register to participate in this class.

Cost is $115 (We supply your fabric and sewing pattern! Please bring your own Sewing Machine, manual, and you may bring your sewing kit… including your fabric scissors, pins, extra needles, button foot, zipper foot, seam ripper and other attachments for your machine.)

Special Events:

Family Paint Night: Sweet Treats!

July 17th from 7-9PM

Join us for a night of treats! Create a large painting inspired by summer treats! Create a giant milkshake painting with a straw or a huge ice cream cone covered in rainbow sprinkles or even an oversized banana split with a cherry on top! This is an awesome night out for the family or a great pre slumber party event!

Up to 4 “family Members” can work on one large canvas ($55)

Or work on 2 smaller canvases ($55) Tracers are available if you would like to use them!

Some Icy treats will be served!

Kids Summer Paint Night!

Wednesday, July 15^th

From 6-8 PM

Drop the kids off and have a night off! Kids will create an awesome mixed media summer inspired painting! So much fun! Ages 5 and up.

Cost is $35 per child or 2 for $50 stay till 9 PM to create a awesome summer tshirt for $15 more! (Please let us know if your child is staying so we can have enough shirts!)

Adult Paint Night

Wednesday, July 29^th from 7-9 PM.

Join us to create a guided painting! Miss Kate will take you step by step through a summer inspired painting! Snacks will be served (BYOB) $45 each or $70 for you and a friend!!! (You do not need to know how to paint!)

Children will create pretend worlds with paint and sculpture! Gnomes, Fairies, mermaids, dragons, other mythical creatures! Paint on cardboard to create pretend play items, Make a 3-d playset with creatures and so much more!

Hey aspiring clothing designers!!!! Lets create some clothing designs!!! Each day we will draw paint and illustrate designs from your imagination! Then pick your favorite and lets create a 3-d sculpture of it! We will use… fabric, paint, paper, cardboard and much more on a large “fashion model” form! (Hey! We promised our machine sewers….Please let us know…If you would like to bring your sewing machine. Kids can work a real clothing design! We will provide basic patterns to work off of!)

This is a wonderful keepsake! Tea and hot chocolate will be served!

Here we go!!!! The Golden Button is on Vacation till January 23rd! When we return the shop will be all fancy and newly updated! -Create a Large Owl Sculpture!!!! (the size of a real screech owl!)

Rachel Gerowe of Red Barn Originals will teach this two-part session to create a beautiful realistic owl!

Begin you sculpture! (Cost is $55 save $5 if you bring your own needles and foam)

Little Kids Art!

Little kids of all ages are welcome to come and create artwork on Wednesdays at 1 PM! Explore different paints, build, sculpt and create! Get your hands dirty and have some fun! Moms, Dads, or other caregivers are welcome to have some fun too! (February 5^th, 12, 19, and 26^th!)

Machine Sewing Classes

Class meets Wednesday, November 27^th, December 4^th, and December 11^{th at} 11 AM at The Golden Button! Cost is $75

We will pick a project to work on during class!

Crocheting Basics!

Learn how to crochet!!! In the first class learn several stitches and practice! Then create a beautiful scarf in the next two classes! You will have a beautiful warm winter scarf to keep for yourself or give as a gift!

This class begins on Tuesday, November 26^th, December 3^rd and December 10^th! At 6:30 PM

Cost is $50 plus $10 supply fee. (Supply fee does not including the cost of the yarn for your finished scarf! Discounts on yarn during class session or you can bring your own!)

Kids Thanksgiving Center Pieces!

Sign up to create a beautiful holiday centerpiece! Children will create an amazing turkey sculpture to decorate your Thanksgiving table! Cost is $15 per centerpiece! All ages are welcome but some younger children will need help to finish their project!

Call, email or drop in to request a turkey! Turkey sculpture bases are made in advance for each child! We cannot guarantee you a turkey sculpture base if you do not sign up in advance!
