Here are some new classes offered at Rowanwood Farm this summer!

-Nature Art at The Farm

Create some beautiful nature art at Rowanwood Farm!

Using both repurposed and found objects to create beautiful sculptures and installations in nature!!!! Create wind chimes, nature sculptures, and garden sculptures! Were going to get messy!

Ages: 4 and up

Cost: $65 plus $20 Supply fee

When: Class Meets Mondays 4:30 PM  5:20 PM

June 30, July 7, July 14th, July 21st

 

-Llama Life Drawing

Come face to face with beautiful llamas and goats and get to draw them!!!!! We will use all sorts of materials to create drawings and paintings from real life animals!!!!

This is an experience you won’t soon forget!

 

Ages: 6 and up

Cost: $65 plus $20 Supply fee

When: Class Meets Mondays 5:30 PM  6:20 PM

June 30, July 7, July 14th, July 21st

 

–Llama Hike and Painting Class at McLaughlin Vineyard

 

This is an event out like no other!!!

Imagine…taking a rare breed miniature llama for a guided hike on the beautiful trails
at the McLaughlin Vineyard in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.

Imagine…walking leisurely for about two hours along a mild path, in a beautiful pine forest, along the river through a Bald Eagle Sanctuary,
 bordering a thousand acre State Forest.

Join us at the vineyard for the afternoon and to go on an adventurous llama hike with the beautiful llamas of Rowanwood Farm then return from you hike and purchase a bottle of the areas finest wine to sip while Kate Gorham of The Golden Button instructs you how to create your very own llama painting to bring home! We will supply you with llamas, snacks, and all you need to create an acrylic painting on canvas of a llama!

Note: Children must be at least twelve or older, you must be 21 or older to purchase wine

(Bring comfortable shoes, water, bug spray, sunscreen, camera and so forth.)

Sunday June 29th at 1 PM

Hike through the beautiful forest with these beautiful creatures then return to the vineyard to relax under tents and enjoys a snack and a drink from vineyard and create a painting!

I Love Llamas <3 and New Classes on the Farm

This weekend was super busy….

I spent Saturday at Stamford Museum and Nature Center with my friend AJ from Rowanwood Farm and her lovely Llamas.

960x540-1I’m not going to lie…. I have every six year olds dream life!  I spent Saturday eating cotton candy and playing with kids and llamas. Here is a photo of Me (Miss Kate)  on the Stamford Advocate website. with Lucky above and Moon below!

Summer Felting Forum with Rachel Gerowe of Red Barn Originals at The Golden Button

Wednesday, July 24th at 6:30 PM

Come and needle with a community of fellow felters. Guidance offered. For $10 Bring your own project to work on (the 2nd item in a kit that you haven’t gotten to yet or an original design, perhaps?) or for an additional $15-$20 purchase a new kit to begin with guidance. 6:30pm-9ish. Remember to bring your needles and foam and anything you’ve created to share.
