Mother’s Day Gift Making (DROP IN)

Bring your children to create beautiful one of a kind gifts for Mother’s Day! Cost is $12 per gift. Stop in between 12 and 5 PM on the following days to create garden stones, tea cups or mugs for your aunts, mothers, grandmas, nanas and other loves ones.

Create a beautiful painting with your mom!!! Enjoy some tea, snacks and treats! Everyone will get a canvas and paints and we will guide you through a beautiful spring painting!

Cost is $28 for one adult and one child/or teen.

(Add $10 per additional child)

Little Kids Art

Thursdays from 1-1:45

May 9, 16, 23 and 30th

Ages 3-5

Children art classes…

Projects include nature art, toad houses, and designing, planting and decorating mini gardens.

Cost is $55 plus $15 supply fee

Mommy and Mini Class

Fridays are Mommy and Mini class 11:30 to12:15 Everyone is welcome… All Activities are appropriate for baby, todders, and little ones. (All materials are non toxic and safe for love bugs) You are welcome to bring a booster seat or just sit with your little one. We will explore lots of colors and textures with fun and safe materials! A little messy but a lot of fun!

Cost is $50 for 4 weeks

May 9, 16, 23 and 30th

Friday Afternoons Open Art (DROP IN)

Drop in for open artwork! All ages can explore different art mediums and styles each week. Drop in anytime between 1-5 PM. $14 per child!

Adult Paint

Come and paint a picture with Miss Kate! You do not need to know how to paint. Come, relax and have fun. Bring a friend and have a drink! Mom’s night out!

BYOB each week 7-9 PM

Friday, May 10^th: Learn how to paint a beautiful landscape

Friday May 17^th: Learn how to paint a bird or owl

Friday, May 24^th: Learn how to paint your favorite flower

Friday May 31^st: Learn how to paint an animal.

Cost is $25 per night. (Sign up for one or sign up for all 4 for $75!!!!)

Little kids Art on Thursdays!

The kids made color wheels and practiced mixing colors. Then they experimented mixing their favorite colors!

Finally, the children created beautiful pictures with all the colors they mixed…. and then needed to add some glitter!

Three part class for Knitting Beginners taught by Patti Clark of Maple View Farm. Learn how to Knit: Cast on, Knit, Purl and Cast off. Learn the basics with simple patterns.

The Golden Button would like to wish you a Happy Easter!

Eat lots of delicious foods and spend time with the people you love!

I will be finishing up some projects and creating new ones and doing some gardening… as long as it doesn’t rain.

I also plan on eating lots of yummy chocolates today.

Oh yes…. The Golden Button is closed for Easter.

A little note to you…..

I just want to say thank you…. to all our wonderful customers and friends that support The Golden Button. Every single day I feel blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful and talented artists and such generous and fun customers. Thanks everyone for making my little shop so much fun!

We had a very busy and exciting weekend at the shop…

We had Embroidery class on Friday

and Foxes on Sunday (and a whole lot in-between) with Rachel Gerowe of Red Barn Originals!

(Ukrainian Egg Decorating!)

We learned how layer beeswax, vibrant dyes and traditional designs to create these beautiful eggs!

After you finish your eggs you use the flame from the candle to melt the layers of beeswax off your egg to expose your beautiful egg decorations!

Please let us know if you would be interested in trying Pysanky…. We have had some interest in doing a class after Easter and if we have enough people who are interested we will see if Marcus would like to come back to
