Sorry for the inconvenience but…..

We are going to go ahead and cancel the outdoors painting class at Bent of the River for today… I heard its a little too chilly (and windy) for hands to be outside painting… If you are sad you are going to miss it…

Creative Art Night for Adults! Easy Encaustic Painting

Many of you have expressed interest in learning about encaustic painting! We will be creating easy encaustic paintings!

This is a fun creative way to spend your evening with friends!

(Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface—usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used. The simplest encaustic mixture can be made from adding pigments to beeswax. Metal tools and special brushes can be used to shape the paint before it cools, or heated metal tools can be used to manipulate the wax once it has cooled onto the surface.)

Please keep in mind we will be using hot wax! Safety first!

Cost is $45 each or $70 for 2!

Make a Haunted House Today!

Drop into The Golden Button between 10 AM and 1PM to make a Haunted House! We have ever creepy crawly thing you can imagine… And glitter… We have glitter! And glow in the dark stuff too! cost is $20 per house or create a pumpkin painting for $10 or both for $25!

October 20, 27 November 3, and 10th

Little children have fun explore different art mediums and creating art! All materials are safe and appropriate for little hands! We will create some art supplies in class! All ages are welcome. Parents, grandparents, babysitters may join!

Friday Night was our Family Pizza and Movie Night at The Golden Button!

We all has so much fun!

Nutritionist and Chef, Sharon Martovich, of Eat. Play. Live, guided families through the entire process of making their own pizza dough and sauce, vinaigrette salad dip, fresh fruit smoothies and ended the night with s’mores and a movie on the HUGE projector!

It was really AWESOME!!!

*Kids Hand Sewing Class 4:30 PM

Friday 10/10, 10/17, 10/24 and 11/7 cost is $65 and a $14 supply fee. Sibling discounts available. Children will learn basic hand sewing, sewing safety, how to join fabrics, and how to create new things. Please contact us to discuss sewing options for young children! Ages 4-6 can sew too… Using special needles and fabrics!
