I would Like to let you know… that we have changes the schedule for the Kid’s Sewing Class this month. You can still sign up!!!! It is begins next week!

Kids Sewing (ages 8 and up) UPDATED SCHEDULE!!!!!!

5:00 – 6:00 PM. Learn basics for sewing that will last a lifetime. Children will have fun learning how to hand sew. Make different projects include…sewing button designs, hand sewing a wall hanging and making a new shirt out of old ones. A three-part class. Bring an old t-shirt to up cycle)

September 19, 26, and October 3rd.

We looked at beautiful Fossils from New York then we made our own with real objects including shells, rocks, arrowheads and other found treasures from nature. Then the children used their new notebooks for scientific drawings!

Painting Classes (Adults)

7:00 PM Put the kids to bed and get out of the house. Come hangout with friends and learn how to paint. Paint at your own speed and have fun. Focus will be on creating a sketch, practice mixing colors, and learn how to make things look more realistic and having fun! We will begin with a still life and move on from there. BYOB!!!! Adults only Please. Non competitive… you do not need experience.

Open Painting (all Ages)

12:00 to 5:00 PM Relax in our workshop area and create a masterpiece. We provide a small canvas and paint supplies. Create anything you want or look at out ever-growing picture collection to find inspiration. Please wear old clothes or a smock.

This is a very exciting weekend. When I close the store tonight I have to run over to Bethlehem Fairgrounds to drop off my Needle Felting submission….

Wish me luck.

Then tomorrow… It is the final day for Diorama drop offs!!!

Important news… The Golden Button will be accepting Dioramas till next Friday (September 7th) at 6PM. We have decided to postpone our fundraiser till next weekend on Saturday, September 8th at 1:00 PM so that more people can participate. I hope that this doesn’t cause too much conflict. Please consider joining us to help raise money for The Kitty Connection!!!

Gel medium transfers…

On Fridays:

Image Transferring (kids ages 6 to 12)

4:30 to 5:15 PM.  Learn fun ways to transfer printed image! During this three-session class we will learn some fun transfer techniques. First we will create a gel medium transfer and next we will transfer old animal drawings using wintergreen oil, then finally we will create a beautiful piece of artwork by transferring a drawing we make ourselves. (Gel medium, wintergreen oil, and acrylic paint will be used. Please wear old clothes or a smock)

Image Transferring (Teenagers to Adult)

5:30 to 6:15 PM.

Learn fun ways to transfer printed image! During this three-session class we will learn some fun transfer techniques. Needle Felting…
We are also offering Needle Felting Bats on Sunday, September 23rd from 2-4 PM!!!! Come make a spooky bat sculpture out of wool with Rachel Gerowe!!!  Cost is $35 (save $5 if you bring your own needles!!!) Teenagers and adults please!!!
