-Parent/ Child Paint Night at Bent of the River! Friday, August 21st from 6-8 PM (This EVENT is at BENT OF THE RIVER in Southbury)

Join us at the Bent Barn to create a very cool painting of your favorite local animals or birds! We will use Acrylic paint so wear your old clothes and remind your favorite little person to do the same!!!! Cost is $60 a pair (one adult and one child!) $75 for a pair and an extra child! Cost includes supplies and snacks! (Everyone gets their own canvas!) Please meet in the Bent Barn. (Please contact The Golden Button to register)

-Kids Landscape Painting Day! (Ages 7 & up) Saturday, August 22nd from 2-4PM (This EVENT is at BENT OF THE RIVER in Southbury)

Meet us at the Bent Barn. We will be going on a little adventure to create a beautiful landscape painting or two. Children will be using acrylic paint and may be sitting on the ground so wear your old clothes and bring a mat or a blanket to sit on if the ground is wet! Cost is $25 plus a $12 supply fee. (Bring a friend and you both save $5!!!!)

–Needle Felting Hedgehogs or Otters: Wednesday, August 26th: 7:00 PM to 9:30PM (At The Golden Button in Woodbury)

Join us at the Golden Button on Wednesday, August 26th at 7 PM to create 3-D Hedgehog sculptures. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn craft in which a barbed needle is used to sculpt wool into anything imaginable. In this class students will create a 3 dimensional felted hedgehogs! You will have enough materials to make another one!!!
Cost: $40 (Save $5 by bringing your own needles and foam)

This Week at The Golden Button:

Friday, April 17th

* 5:30-6:30 PM: Join us for Springy Art ($20 for one class or sign up for all 3!) We are making giant flower or tree sculptures! CAN’T WAIT!

*A Very Special Paint Night for Kids and their Parents this Friday (April 17th!)

Bring your favorite little person and create a very springy (Lilly Pulitzer Inspired Painting!) Have a treat and enjoy spending time together! Miss Kate will guide you step by step to create these fun flowers! Then pick a quote and put it on your painting with our huge collection of letter stamps! Cost is $55 per pair (you each get your own canvas!)

*Sunday, April 26th 2-5 PM Needle Felting: Kittens

Join us at the Golden Button on Sunday, April 26th at 2 pm to create 3-D Kitten sculptures. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn craft in which a barbed needle is used to sculpt wool into anything imaginable. In April’s class students will create a 4-5″, 3 dimensional felted cat!

SNOW DAY!!!

The Golden Button will be closed on Tuesday! (January 27th)

All Classes will be rescheduled. (If you are signed up for a class… we will be sending you a makeup time and date for the class you will miss) Stay warm and safe during the snow storm… and drink lots of hot chocolate, paint the snow with spray bottles full of food coloring and water and make cookies. 🙂

Little Kids Art will begin NEXT week!!!

Tuesdays from 3:00 PM-4:00 ish

February 3, 10, 17, and 24th

Lets explore colors!!!! Each week we will focus on learning our colors while using new mediums and making fun art!!!

Some fun projects include….Color mixing with our feet! Making Valentines and rainbow stacking art!

Little children have fun explore different art mediums and creating art! All materials are safe and appropriate for little hands! We will create some art supplies in class! All ages are welcome. Parents, grandparents, babysitters may join! Class is appropriate for all ages.

Cost: $65 plus $15 supply fee for 4 classes in February ❤

*Tea and Embroidery

Thursdays: from 10:30 to 11:30 AM

February 5, 12, 19, (3 week class)

Learn basic embroidery stitches and how to use them, practice transferring patterns, and create beautiful hand embroidered pieces. Transform store bought items or old favorites into beautiful one of a kind treasures!!! Learn to Embroider in a quiet calm setting with tea or coffee ❤!

HI!!!!

I am working on a bunch of new things right now….. But I wanted to share a few things.

Today is Monday December 15th! WHOA That means we are going through December pretty fast… Here are some reminders for you!

Join us for Ornament Painting, Glitter Houses and Drop in Art this week!

Monday (12/15), Thursday (12/18), and Friday (12/19) drop in between 1-6 PM and Sunday (12/21) from 12-5 PM

*Wooden Ornaments are 3 for $16 or 6 for $30

*Glitter Houses are $18 each! (They are different than last years houses!!!! So if you already made one these are a new pattern!

*Or grab a canvas for $10 each! They all make really special gifts from your children to teacher, grandparents, and other special people!!!!

Then we are offering 2 Kids Nights out this weekend!!!!

Drop the kids off and grab some gifts, have dinner with friends or grab a drink while the kids work on projects!!!! Please sign up ahead of time! (Friday Night is almost full!!!)

*Friday, December 19th 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM: Winter Wonderland Night!!! Kids will create an awesome 3-d winter painting! Lots of fun objects and treasures to use!! Make a snowman and more!!!!! Little Kids are welcome to join!!!!! $30 per artist or $50 for two! (Stay a little longer!!!! till 9 PM for $10 extra!!! Make a glitter house too!!!!)

*Saturday, December 20th from 6:00- 8:00 PM: Gift Making Night!!!! Children will pick from a bunch of great holiday gifts DIY! Make some gifts for the people you love! $30 per artist or $50 for two! (Stay a little longer!!!! till 9 PM for $10 extra!!! Make a glitter house too!!!!)

*Little Kids Art! (Drop in on Wednesday from 11- 12 ($20 per child)

Cost is $20 + $10 Ingredient fee.

This Monday- Preschool Cooking Class from 10-11 AM

Breakfast Time: Fresh Fruit Muffins

Come join us at Rowanwood Farm in Sandyhook this Spring and lets explore!!!! Little Kids will get their hands dirty with Nature Sculpture!!!! Miss Kate will be helping your children to create with both natural and found objects, paint and other mediums to build beautiful natural sculptures! All ages are welcome!
