We have a few more special events this August…

– Kids Night Out… Paint a Squishmallow!!!!
Wednesday, August 6th from 5:00-6:30 PM
On this very special evening drop the kids off to paint their favorite squishmallow! Kids are welcome to bring their favorite squishmallow (who can sit in a special squishmallow saftey container to keep it paint free) Miss Kate will help you to match the colors and create a super fun painting of your favoirite squishmallow. All ages are welcome! Cost $35 per person.

-Lizard Sculpture Day
Tuesday, August 12th from 2-3:30 PM
Drop the kids off for a super fun sculpture night. Let’s make your favorite lizards or creature and make it a super fun habitat to live in! Cost $40

-Lemonade Paint Night:
Wednesday, August 13th from 5:30-7:00 PM
Join us to paint a fun relaxing glass of lemonade. We will have lemonade. All ages welcome.

–Outer Space Exploration: Tuesday through Thursday: August 5, 6, and 7th from from 10:30 – 11:30 AM
Create awesome Solar system inspired artwork! Make 3-d planets, design your own planet or star scultpure and make some outer space creatures too. Sculpture, painting and drawing. Cost is $95

–Sew What You Want: August 5, 6, and 7th from 11:30 AM-12:30 PM
All levels are welcome to join in to sew whatever you like. Need help with a project bring it? Want to pick from out huge collection of patterns. Make stuffed animals, clothes, bags and more. You can hand sew or bring a machine or try one of ours. Cost is $100

Monday, August 11, Tuesday, August 12th, and Wednesday, August 13th

–New: Slimy Week: August 11, 12, and 13th from 11:30-12:30 PM
Join us for this Slimy fiasco. (Seems to be the favorite events this summer)…. Against Miss Kate’s better judgment we will be having a week of slime. All sorts of messy slimy concoctions and some other fun clays and things to squish. Including a slug slime inspired by one of our little friends. (ages 5 and up please) Cost is $100

–Cardboard Sculpture Art: August 11, 12, and 13th from 12:30-1:30 PM
Recycle, create and have fun! Create a super fun cardboard sculpture. Add paper mache and 3- D elements. We will sketch ideas and build a fun piece of art. This is a fun process piece. Make a jungle with critters, make an ocrean with an octopus or a coral reef with an eel. Be as creative as you can! Great for elementary age and middle school artists. Cost is $95

Tuesday, August 19, Wednesday, August 20, and Thursday, August 21st

–Clothing / Fashion Design Sewing: August 19, 20, and 21th from 2:30-4:00 PM (Full)
Join us for this fun sewing experience. Kids must have some prior sewing experience. Children will design and create a piece of clothing. Make something for yourself or a model. Cost will cover basics sewing supplies but feel free to bring pieces of material or extra items if you have a very specific vision. (Like a veil or a furry costume. Or something for a very specific character piece. We have tons of fabric and supplies but sometimes you have something spoecific in your head) Kids age 6 and up. Cost is $125

Friday Art: Autumn Art                                                                                                                                Meets Fridays November 1, 8, 15, and  22nd from 4:30- 5:30 PM   (No Class on November 29th)       Make a beautiful autumn tree painting with 3-d elements, create a fall inspired habitat with some fun little animals and other fun fall art. Fall Guided Paint Night: Owls Friday, November 1st from 5:30 to 7:00 PM Join us to paint some of your favorite fall owls. Miss Kate will guide you through some fun owl paintings.  Be sure to add a warm scarf, leaves and a moon! Cost is $40 per person (ages 5 and up ) 

Autumn Craft Night: Animals                                                                                                               

Friday, November 8th at 5:30-7:00 PM  Join us to celebrate Fall animals. Make a beautiful sculpture of an owl in its home and paint a little cut out of a critter. Great for little kids too.  Cost is $40

Adult/ Child Guided Painting: Deer                                                                                     

Friday, November 15th from 5:30-7:00 PM Join us to paint a fall forest with deer! All ages are welcome. Miss Kate will guide you to paint a wonderful background then add some deer. (We will have tracers if you want it to be a bit easier. Cost is $70 for two painters.

-Parent/ Child Paint Night at Bent of the River!

Friday, August 21st from 6-8 PM
Join us at the Bent Barn to create a very cool painting of your favorite local animals or birds! We will use Acrylic paint so wear your old clothes and remind your favorite little person to do the same!!!!
 Cost is $60 a pair (one adult and one child!) $75 for a pair and an extra child! Cost includes supplies and snacks! (Everyone gets their own canvas!) Please meet in the Bent Barn.

-Kids Landscape Painting Day! (Ages 7 & up)

Saturday, August 22nd from 2-4PM
Meet us at the Bent Barn. We will be going on a little adventure to create a beautiful landscape painting or two. Children will be using acrylic paint and may be sitting on the ground so wear your old clothes and bring a mat or a blanket to sit on if the ground is wet! Cost is $25 plus a $12 supply fee. (Bring a friend and you both save $5!!!!)

Plus don’t forget to sign up for Needle Felting Otters or Hedgehogs!!!

Wednesday, August 26th: 7:00 PM to 9:30PM

Join us at the Golden Button on Wednesday, August 26th at 7 PM to create 3-D Hedgehogs or otter sculptures. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn craft in which a barbed needle is used to sculpt wool into anything imaginable. In this class students will create a 3 dimensional felted hedgehogs or otters! You will have enough materials to make another one!!!

Cost: $40 (Save $5 by bringing your own needles and foam)

Lots of Art for Kids age 6 and up!! This class is perfect for kids who have ½ a day or learn from home! We will focus on creating art while allowing children to make a plan, problem solve and try new materials. This class is meant for exploration and growing! Each session children will find new and fun materials to create with!
