Join us this summer for some super fun mini summer camps. Three days of fun themes and projects. All Arts & crafts classes are great for preschool, kindergarten and elementary age kids. (Hand sewing is best for ages 5/6 and up and machine its typically 7 and up to teen. Please bring your sewing machine or make arrangements to borrow one from us) (Save $5 if you pay by cash or check)

Please do not come to the studio if you are sick! We will offer one makeup per session for illness related absents

Weekly Summer Classes:

Painting Outdoors (Teens and Adults)

Meets Tuesdays:

Session 1: June 18, 25, July 2, 9 and 16th (5 weeks) Cost is $155

Session 2: July 23, 30 August 6, 13 and 20th (5 weeks) Cost is $155

From 5:00-6:00 PM

Great for teens and adults if weather is bad we will meet in the studio. Join us to paint outside under the trees. Relax and paint what you like, while Miss Kate helps guide you. Cost is $155 for 5 weeks

Meets Wednesdays: Summer Sewing

Session 1: June 26, July 3, 10, and 17th (4 weeks) Cost is $125

Session 2: July 24, 31 August 7, 14 and 21st (5 weeks) Cost is $155

From 5:00-6:00 PM

All ages and levels are welcome to come sew. Bring your machine, embroider or handsew. Pick your own projects and work at your own pace. Great for beginners too.

Meets Thursdays: Messy Art

Session 1: June 20, June 27th (No July 4th) , 11, and 18th (4 weeks)

Session 2: July 245 31 August 1,8, 15 and 22nd (5 weeks) Cost is $155

From 5:00-6:00 PM

Puff paint, paper mache clay and much much more. Awesome class for our little artists through elementary age kids. Great projects based on your favorite books, characters, movies and favorite things.

Kids Night Out: Swifties Swifties (or pick your favorite musician!)

Friday, June 21st from 5:30-7:00 PM:

Join us on June 21st to make a personalized painting with a favorite music lyric, make some super sparkly rock star slime with fun add ins! And if we have time make a personlized bff bracelet. Great night for a playdate! Ages 5 and up Cost is $40

Crafternoon- Ocean Creatures

Join us on June 28th from 11:30-1:00 PM

Create a magical coral reef sculpture using new and found pbjects and lots of fun sea creatures.

Cost is $40

Kids Crafternoon: Insect Art Day

July 12th from 12-1:30 PM

Exxplore Entomology and art. Create a large 3-d beetle, moth or butterfly, make a flower sculpture complete with tiny insects and much more. Great for young kids too! Cost is $40

Mini Sewing Camps: Hand Sewing Animals

from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

Join us for this fun and exciting stuffed animals sewing class. Handsew your favorite animals, add special eyes and other special touches too! Great for beginners. Pick from our huge selection of sweet little handsewing patterns… Cats, horses, unicorns, sea creatures, dinosaurs and more. Ages 5 and up $95

Mini Summer Camps: Little Houses

from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

This mini camp is for the kids who love little things. Make a magical little house to play with. We will include so many magical elements. Create little items to decorate your house and so much more. Create magical little nature houses. $95

Mini Sewing Camps: Beginner Sewing

from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Always wanted to learn how to sew? Make clothes, bags, pillows or stuffed animals? This is a great class for beginners (You can also sign up and work at your own pace if you are not a beginner! Beginners will make several easy patterns where they will learn to sew buttons, corners, follow and cut out patterns and more. $95

Mini Summer Camps: 3-d Food Art- Cake Decorating and Candy Making

from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Join us for Miss Kate’s favorite class! Make awesome 3-d foods out of all sorts of very fun and messy items. Even decorate a cake with pipeing bags of frosting, cherries, gummy bears and even sprinkles! (All fake of course.) $95

Mini Sewing Camps: Sewing Clothes

from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM

All levels are welcome learn how to sew and make yourself some awesome clothes. You can pick from our patterns or bring your own pattern. Bring your machine! $110

Mini Summer Camps: Ancient Art

Create art and explore mediums found in ancient artwork. Paint on clay, paint on rock, make a fossil too. $95

Hello there… Today on this lovely snow day… here in Connecticut… We are fixing up our website and working on a program so that you can sign up for classes right here on the website…. and making cooking and hopefully sewing some fun samples for upcoming classes… in a little while 🙂

Here are some pictures of some of our classes from the last few days… Hand sewing, guided painting, a bachelorette! (Yeah Karla!) and some Valentine Making!!!

Don’t forget we have Needle Felting Horse this month!

*Sunday, February 22nd 2-5 PM: Horses

Join us at the Golden Button on Sunday February 22nd at 2 pm to create 3-D pony sculptures. Needle felting is an easy-to-learn craft in which a barbed needle is used to sculpt wool into anything imaginable. In February’s class students will create a 4″, 3 dimensional felted pony or horse. I am working on a bunch of new things right now….. But I wanted to share a few things.

Today is Monday December 15th! WHOA That means we are going through December pretty fast… Here are some reminders for you!

Join us for Ornament Painting, Glitter Houses and Drop in Art this week!

Monday (12/15), Thursday (12/18), and Friday (12/19) drop in between 1-6 PM and Sunday (12/21) from 12-5 PM

*Wooden Ornaments are 3 for $16 or 6 for $30

*Glitter Houses are $18 each! (They are different than last years houses!!!! So if you already made one these are a new pattern!

*Or grab a canvas for $10 each! They all make really special gifts from your children to teacher, grandparents, and other special people!!!!

Then we are offering 2 Kids Nights out this weekend!!!!

*Family Art Night! (Kids and Adults!!!)

Friday, November 28th from 7:00-8:45 PM

Spend a very special night at The Golden Button and create some art together! All ages are welcome! Each family will receive a large canvas to paint! This might get messy! Wear old clothes! Work together to create a large piece of art to take home! Paint a picture or make a pattern or design and use everyone’s favorite colors! We will be using Acrylic paint… (It lasts forever! Its non-toxic but does stain clothes!)

Snacks and tea and hot cocoa will be served! This is a great opportunity for a wonderful family night out! Especially if you have family here from out of town! Like grandparents or cousins! Cost is $50 per family of 4 ($5 per extra person) (Please sign up early. Space is limited)

Winter Wonderland Mini Summer Camp! Kids of all ages can have a wonderful and awesome week at The Golden Button Arts & Craft Studio!!!!!! From 1 to 4 PM!

Get the kids out of the house and let them create some art! We will make special snow clay, Create winter snowflake sun catchers, Learn to make different paints! Make a giant winter snowflakes, and sooo much more! This would make such a great holiday gift! Sign up now and we will send you a beautiful certificate for you child to open! So many projects and fun!!!!!!

If you want to pop in on Saturday (tomorrow) between 11AM and 2:30 PM….We have some time to decorate Thanksgiving Turkeys Centerpieces!!!! Call ahead to reserve a bird or just pop in (I made extra!) They are soooo cute! Wear old clothes! All ages are welcome! $20 each covers all supplies and lots of feathers! They look much better when painted… I promise!
