Classes and Workshops for Easter and Spring!


Here are some excellent classes and workshops coming soon at The Golden Button….  Don’t forget to stop by we
have excellent local handmade Easter basket items… Including limited edition screen printed Spring Critters,
beautiful terrariums…. and much more.
  • Wooden Easter Egg Painting

Saturday, March 16, 23rd and 30th

Time: Between 12:00 to 5:00 PM
Stop in and paint beautiful wooden Easter eggs that will last forever!
Call ahead to hold eggs or just stop in! All ages are welcome to come!!! Wear an old t-shirt or smock!
Cost is $6 per egg. (Leave them overnight to be varnished!)
  • Beginners Embroidery Sampler (ages 8 and up)
            5:00 to 5:45 PM
Learn basic stitches and how to make a stitch sampler. We will also begin to make items with
embroidered details that you can really use! This historical art is getting more and more popular! Design your own
sampler and take home your own embroidery kit!
Fridays in March 15th , 22nd, and 29th.
Cost is $45 plus $15 supply fee
  • Needle Felting Chicks or Ducks
Sunday, March 17th from 2-4 PM
Join Rachel Gerowe of Red Barn Originals to learn how to Needle Felt a Chick or Duckling just in time for Spring
or Easter!
Cost is $35 (save $5 if you bring your own needles and foam)
  • Pysanky Egg Decorating at The Golden Button
Join us on Friday, March 22 at 6:30 PM to learn how to make beautiful Ukrainian Easter Eggs. Marcus Klim will
teach you the techniques of Pysanky and well as the ancient ideas and symbolism behind this beautiful tradition.
Cost of the class is $30 for a 3-hour session.
We will provide the eggs for you and you will receive the tools and skills you need to create your own beautiful
Pysanky at home!

  • Beginners Knitting

Saturdays in March 16th, 23rd, and 30th
5:00 PM to 5:45 PM
Three part class for Knitting Beginners. Learn the basics of Knitting: Cast on, Knit, Purl and Cast off.
Learn how to make simple patterns.
Cost: $75 (You will receive a supply list before the class begins.)
  • The Difference Between Knitting and Crocheting
Saturdays in March 16th, 23rd, and 30th
6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Lots of people say they can’t Knit. Some say they can’t Crochet. This class introduces you to basic Knit and
Crochet so that you can make an educated decision as to which you prefer. This three part class will
introduce you to….
Knitting (week one)
Crochet (week two)
By week three you can decide which class you prefer to focus on.
See samples of knit and crochet so you can tell which is which. Then learn basics in both.
Cost is $75 plus a $12 supply fee, which will include: a crochet hook, yarn and Knitting needles.
